Rosa Cerri, is dancer, coreographer, director, author, performer, teacher of dance instant composition, improvisation theater dance, contemporary dance and Argentine tango.
Rosa started to dance at 4 years old, on the dining table, during festivity family lunches. The colors and smells of fruits, cakes, wine and flowers were the scenography. Clapping, singing and improvised musical instrument by the dishes were the music.
She has danced for 30 years, jazz, afro, latin, caraibic, indian, contact improvisation, contemporary and argentine tango, focusing her research on dance improvisation techniques in each style and expecially in the pure improvisation quality of argentine tango. She has perfectioned her training through the improvisational action theater techniques and the practice of harmonic singing.
Rosa strongly focused her research on native ritual dances of wich she has explored the deep roots traveling from the Mediterranean area of Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, France and Provence, to Austria, North Europe, Normandie and Bretagne, Nederland, Poland and German Black Forest, Great Britain, to USA and South and Central America, Peruan Andes and Titicaca Lake, Amazonic Forest, Yukatan and South East Mexico, to Cuba, and North Africa with Essaouira and West Maroc , Algery, Cabo Verde, to Siberian Taiga of Tuva and Buriatia with the immense Baikal Lake to the incredible Mongolia. In these trips Rosa was initied into ritual, sacred, and chamanic chant.
Rosa is certified teacher of the International Sam Fung Tai Ki Kung School, she received the teaching by the Masterhead Ming Wong C.Y. She has practiced Tai Ki Kung discipline, Taoist science and art of movement of the human body, martial art, dance and meditation in movement, for 25 years. Before this, she practiced 4 different disciplines of martial arts and 6 different internal styles.
Rosa is founder and president of YroDance “MoveArtScience”, inspired to her Teacher of Beauty, that lives in the mountains of central Italy and initiated Rosa to the way of Beauty.

Rosa is author and director of dance-music-theater performances in Italy, all Europe, Asia, America, where she usually travels around, performing and teaching. Rosa has developed through years of research with dancers, musicians and actors, a special improvisational training® and an innovative performance method® to create instant, unique compositions of dance-music-theater, in which the different artistic languages meet in extraordinary poetic connections, then going to blend into the magical and amazing story of the present time. She collaborates with many different artists, also figurative and video performers, each time creating new and original performances all over the world.
Rosa is art director and teacher of ENDRA “ArteèCiboèArte” International artfood School. With Endra, she is co-founder with Jazzmobile and Webindra of “Improvvis’ Azione” Art Associations, an innovative international educational project® of permanent multidisciplinar training and performing, through the improvisational language, of music, dance and art-food.
Rosa Cerri, alias Cerritelli, was born in the South East Italian sunny shore of Mediterranean sea, in the amazing Trani, the town where lived her grandfather, refined tango dancer, and where the Astor Piazzolla’s grandfather lived too, then leaving for Buenos Aires. Rosa is based in Torino, a splendid city to the feet of North West Italian Alps mountains, rich of art, science and trees.
